Check out our very own ‘Girl In Motion’, Amy De Bhrún, in her upcoming role in ‘The Crown and The Dragon’.
Hey,
Just an update on what has been going on with Double Crossed Films.
We directed a music video for JSA for their new single ‘Paper Planes’. The video has been picked up by NME TV and is currently on rotation on their Radar playlist.
And we’ve been busy working on a followup to Girl In Motion. Two scripts have been written, one a slightly higher budget short called ‘Deceit’, and another a single location film called ‘On The Way Home’. Both films are being developed simultaneously, with scripts being sent to actors at the moment.
As part of this process, we had the talented Kim Hargreaves draw our storyboards for ‘Deceit’. The boards are fantastic and will really help us in putting the film together.
Lastly, Phil was recently interviewed by New Empress Magazine. You can check that out in the latest issue (#3) which is available to buy here, and can also be found at The BFI Southbank, Prince Charles Cinema and Wardour News Soho.
As previously mentioned ‘Girl In Motion’ will be screening as part of C The Film at the Edinburgh Festival. Each day a selection of short films appear on a loop, so those who wish to view can drop in and out at any time.
The film will be screening every Wednesday as part of the Drama stand and every Sunday as part of the Sunday Selection strand between 11am and 9pm on each day.
The venue can be found at:

Free Public Screening of Girl In Motion on Thursday 28th July at Jetlag Sports Bar.
Come on down for a free screening of ‘Girl In Motion’ at Jetlag Sports Bar; one of the locations used in the film.
As of yesterday the final picture elements were delivered.
A big thanks to our colourist Garry Maddison at Prime Focus (pictured) for his efforts. Ben and I had loads of fun working on the film with Garry over the last month on-and-off.
We’re now just waiting on the final mix which is due to be completed in the next couple of weeks.
After that it’s just the small matter of marrying the sound and picture and preparing it in all its various forms for exhibition; starting with a private screening at the end of the month.
More soon…
